Is This You?

When Your MOjO

Goes MISSING

Note:  throughout this website,
   underlined words
   are linked to the
Glossary .

You are a bright, creative person who longs to find your way without losing your unique edge.  Probably you are some combination of wise, talented, deep, intuitive or ingenious - but right now certain areas of your life seem stuck.

There's something going on within you (or within your life-situation) that you haven't been able to change ... even though you've certainly tried.

Perhaps you wonder if you are looking for yourself in all the wrong places ... or if you might be tripping yourself up.

You want to reconnect with your life-forward movement ... you want to feel juicy and creative ... you want to to reclaim banished parts of your soul.  But you don't want to be turned into everyone else in the process.

___________________________________

In some ways, the problems you are struggling with are the same as the problems most people struggle with: inability to make progress; fear and anxiety; relationship tangles; unwanted cravings; old hurts showing up in new situations.  You know - same old, same old.  Still struggling after all these years.

But, there are some things about you that makes your particular problems different from other people's problems:

  • Since you are creative, you are good at creating worst case scenarios;

  • Since you have high standards, you tend to judge yourself;

  • Since you are smart, you often find yourself tied up in analysis-paralysis;

  • Since you are sensitive, troubling situations can affect you more intensely;

  • Since you have innate gifts, you also have big dreams and longings - and the thwarting of these dreams and longings create genuine suffering;

  • Since you excel in certain areas of your life, you may find it hard to convince people - even those people you seek out for counseling or coaching - that your struggles are both real, and really painful;

  • Since you can be somewhat rebellious - or since you are trekking down a different path - you may feel as if you are the square peg who does not fit neatly into round-hole counseling or coaching models.

Hmmmm.  You might even be

a bit QUIRKITUDINOUS.

Check it out:

You have some serious quirkitude going on when the drummer you prefer to march to is that different one ... when one-size-fits-all solutions never seem to fit you very well ... when adapting to the norm seems like a dreary way to resolve things ... when you suspect that your mastery is connected to your mishegoss  ... and when you don't need me to tell you that there's waaaaay more to you than your problems.)

Joan, you protect my inner flame from other people who are trying to put it out!

You see what other people don't see.

You validate me and where I'm at.

And because you don't judge me, I feel soooo safe.

Sandra Nider,
hair stylist,

You feel frustrated.  For one reason or another (and we both know that there are multitudes of reasons) you are feeling as if something -  circumstances ... unhelpful beliefs ... problems ... past failures ... ambivalence ... procrastination ...  fears and phobias ... addictions or cravings ... disruption in your energy system - is coming between you and your potential.

Whatever the reasons, it's obvious that your natural connection to your own mojoflow  has been interrupted.  And you feel pretty frustrated: not like your best self ... at all.

Since mojoflow is the natural way of life, this disconnection represents an unnatural thwarting, so you feel somewhat fragmented, discombobulated or discontented.  And maybe not just a little pissed off!

At such a time, it's best not to think of yourself as defective - but to hold an image of yourself as a still evolving being!  (Think of yourself as a flower-in-waiting: waiting for water, fertilizer and sunshine.  Waiting to bloom.)

You are probably not yet aware that you actually already have what you need  -  that you've come into this world fully loaded with the components for an inspired life: a life that that is creative, expressive, productive and joyful.

Even though you had these components at hello, you are struggling to find the key which will allow you to make use of what you've got.

Here's another way to say this:

When you're not at your best,
it could be that you have
lost the connection to your
rich supply of inner resources.

Although you may not have heard the word Mojotivity®  before (unless you've been hanging out in my glossary) you resonate with it ... and you're beginning to see how

mojotivity loss might be
the perfect description
of the core of your issues.

          Sometimes,
         MOjOTIVITY-LOSS

         looks like this:

         __________________________

  • you are underachieving and falling short of your full potential;

  • you shilly shally, even over stuff you really, really want to do;

  • your relationships are wearing you down;

  • your work isn't progressing, or it isn't what you really want to be working at;

  • you worry or obsess a lot;

  • you find yourself still doing certain things that you want to stop doing  -  like overeating, watching too much tv, getting into arguments, or second guessing your every move.

     If all that sounds
     a lot like YOU,

     then read my "IF" list:

  • IF you are excited about learning self-help practices that you can use on the spot - when you need them the most ...

  • IF your mojotivity has begun to malfunction, and you need help to get from mojorexic to mojolicious ... and don't want your creative edges to be sanded down along the way ...

then I can help you get back on track.
